Itinerary
Day 1
Airport Pickup, Guwahati to Shillong (100km/4hrs)
Guwahati to Shillong: We will pick you up at the Guwahati International Airport. From there we will take you to Shillong, Meghalaya. On the way to Shillong you will get to see the beautiful Umiam Lake. After reaching Shillong, if we have enough time for sightseeing of the city then we will take you out for all the possible sightseeing of the city for the day. Shillong is a beautiful hill station of north eastern India and has a very beautiful weather. You will get to enjoy every bit it in the sightseeing. We will show Wards Lake, Lady Hydari Park, Don Bosco museum etc. within the city. You will stay at Shillong.
Day 2
Mawlynnong & Dawki, Sightseeing (245km/9hrs)
Mawlynnong & Dawki, Sightseeing: The next day, we will roll out for Mawlynnong. The way, just on the outskirts of the city you will get see the beautiful Elephant falls and the Shillong peak from where you can enjoy the panoramic view of the entire city. After reaching Mawlynnong, we will show you the living root bridge. Mawlynnong is also a beautiful place to enjoy as it is famous for its cleanliness. It is known as Asia’s cleanest village. From there we will take you to Dawki, an Indo – Bangladesh border town famous for the Dawki Bridge over the Umngot River. Boating facilities are also available at the Umngot River. We will head back to Shillong after all the sightseeing. We will be staying at Shillong.
Day 3
Shillong to Cherrapunji, Cherrapunji Sightseeing (150km/8hrs)
Shillong to Cherrapunji, Cherrapunji Sightseeing: Next morning we will take you to Cherrapunji, which is also known as the wettest place on the Earth. After reaching there, we will show you all the local sightseeing places near Cherrapunji. Cherrapunji has a nice and cold weather to enjoy. The places to see in Cherrapunji are Mawsmai caves, the Seven Sister falls, the Nohkalikai falls, living root bridges etc. After the sightseeing your stay will be at Cherrapunji.
Day 4
Cherrapunji to Nameri (360km/9hrs)
Cherrapunji to Nameri: Next day, we will start our journey towards Nameri National Park of Assam. After reaching Nameri, we will show the local places near Nameri national Park. Nameri National park is famous for wildlife like tiger, leopard, Indian wild bison, Himalayan black bear, wild boar, and different species of birds. Your stay will be at Nameri amidst the beautiful nature.
Day 5
Nameri to Dirang (160km/6hrs)
Nameri to Dirang: The prime tourist attractions of Nameri are the wildlife trekking and river rafting. So, next day morning we will take you to wildlife trekking inside the national park. After that, you can enjoy river rafting at the Jia Bhoroli River. The rafting, served by private organisations takes around 3 hours to complete a downstream distance of 20 kilometres in the river. We will take you to the start point and will wait for you at the end point. After that, we will start our journey towards Dirang valley. Dirang valley is located in Arunachal Pradesh and is surrounded by the Himalayan ranges. The places to see in this valley are Dirang Dzong, famous for its architectures and tribal areas, a Tibetan village, a mill running on hydropower, a Kiwi garden and Dirang monastery. Your stay will be at Dirang
Day 6
Dirang to Tawang (145km/7hrs)
Dirang to Tawang: Next morning, we will start towards Tawang. On the way we will show you a hot water spring located near Dirang. We will stop at Vaisakhi where there is an Army canteen and a Dosa point. Before reaching Tawang we will get the Sela Pass at an elevation of approxmately 13700 feet. We will visit the area around Sela Pass, the Paradise Lake or the Sela Lake and then move towards Jaswantgarh War Memorial, just below Sela Pass. After that, we will take you to Nuranang waterfalls and then stop at Tawang for the day. We will show you the local sightseeing places of Tawang if time permits. You will stay at Tawang.
Day 7
Around Tawang Sightseeing (150km/7hrs)
Around Tawang Sightseeing: Next day will be sightseeing of local places and places and around Tawang. The notable local places to see in Tawang are the Tawang monastery which is Asia’s second largest monastery, the Craft centre, the Emporium, Apple garden, the Sixth Dalai Lama birthplace, Tawang War Memorial and Nun monastery. Nun monastery can be also visited through a rope way. Other places nearby Tawang are the Heart Lake, the PTSO Lake, Nagula Lake, Y Junction, Sangester Lake and Bum La pass, which is at the border of India and China. Please note that, in order to visit the Bum La Pass you need to plan a three day stay at Tawang, because the visiting pass for Bum La pass cannot be obtained within in a day. Your stay for the night will be at Tawang.
Day 8
Tawang to Bomdila (185km/8hrs)
Tawang to Bomdila: Next day, after fishing all the sightseeing places in Tawang, we will head back towards Bomdila. Bomdila has a beautiful monastery to see and also there is market, where you can shop your souvenirs and enjoy the local food and culture of Arunachal Pradesh. You stay will be at Bomdila.
Day 9
Bomdila to Guwahati (350km/8hrs)
Bomdila to Guwahati: Next morning we will take you to Guwahati. After reaching Guwahati, if we have enough time we will take out for local sightseeing of Guwahati and its neighbourhood. The prime destinations in Guwahati are the Kamakhya temple, the Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra, the mighty Brahmaputra River and the cruises of Brahmaputra, Umananda (Smallest river island in the world) etc. Your stay will be at Guwahati.
Day 10
Guwahati Sightseeing, Airport Drop (100km/7hrs)
Guwahati Sightseeing, Airport Drop: Next day, after finishing all the possible sightseeing of Guwahati city within the available time we will take you to the airport at the required time and drop you off there.
