Itinerary
Day 1
Airport Pickup, Guwahati to Shillong (100km/4hrs)
We will pick you up from the Guwahati international airport at the required time. Then we will head straight towards Shillong on the beautiful Guwahati – Shillong road. On the road, before reaching Shillong we will stop at the Umiam Lake. After some time, we will continue towards Shillong. Shillong is a beautiful and one of the favourite hill stations of northeast India. After reaching there, we will take out for sightseeing depending upon the availability of time. You will be staying at Shillong.
Day 2
Shillong Sightseeing (80km/8hrs)
We will take you out for the sightseeing of Shillong and its neighbouring areas. Shillong is well known for its beautiful attractive weather. The main attractions of the hill station are Wards Lake, Lady Hydari Park, the Elephant falls, the Shillong Peak, and Don Bosco museum. Your stay will be at the same place in Shillong.
Day 3
Shillong to Mawlynnong & Dawki Sightseeing, Mawlynnong to Cherrapunji (245km/9hrs)
Shillong to Mawlynnong & Dawki Sightseeing, Mawlynnong to Cherrapunji We will head towards Mawlynnong. It is known to the world as the cleanest village in Asia. It is also famous for a living root bridge. After that, we will move 20 kilometres south to Dawki, a small border town in India – Bangladesh border. It is famous for the Dawki Bridge (a suspension bridge built by the British in 1932) over Umngot River and boating trips on that river. After the sightseeing in Dawki, we will head towards Cherrapunji. You will stay at Cherrapunji.
Day 4
Cherrapunji Sightseeing (60km/7hrs)
It will be a sightseeing day in Cherrapunji. Cherrapunji is a beautiful place in the Khasi hills. The rainfalls in Cherrapunji is makes it a prime tourist attraction, as it is also called as the wettest place on the planet. The places to check out in Cherrapunji are the beautiful waterfalls (the Nohkalikai falls and the Seven Sisters falls), the Mawsmai caves, and some living root bridges which are some wonders of Mother Nature. Your stay will be at Cherrapunji.
Day 5
Cherrapunji to Kaziranga (370km/9hrs)
In the morning, we will start towards Kaziranga National Park, the world heritage site famous for the one horned rhinoceros. It is also famous for many wildlife species and migratory birds from all over the world. After reaching Kaziranga, we will show you the local sightseeing places. You will be staying at Kaziranga.
Day 6
Kaziranga Sightseeing (80km/8hrs)
At the early morning we will take you out for elephant safari inside the Park. In this safari you can view of the wildlife from very close on the back of the elephants. Then, we will show you the local sightseeing places near Kaziranga National park like ethnic village models, the orchid garden, the tea gardens etc. In the afternoon, we will take you for jeep safari of the national park. Your stay will be at the same place for the night.
Day 7
Kaziranga to Majuli, Majuli Sightseeing (170km/8hrs)
We will head towards Majuli, an island situated on the heart of river river Brahmaputra. With an area of around 1250 square kilometres, Majuli is the largest river island on earth and it is also the only river island district of India. People from different parts of the world visit Majuli every year to have a glimpse of this place, its famous Vaishnavite culture of Hinduism and the institutions and the monasteries. The other attractions are tribal villages, the cycle trips around the island etc. If you are interested, you can also meet the Forest Man of India Mr. Jadav Payeng (depending on the availability), who is famous for creating a forest from a wasteland of 1,360 acres just by planting trees over many decades. You will stay at Majuli for the night
Day 8
Majuli to Nameri (255km/7hrs)
In the morning, we will start our journey towards Nameri National Park. Nameri is famous for jungle trekking and river rafting on the Jia Bhoroli River. On reaching Nameri, we will take you to the jungle trekking site inside the national park. After finishing the trekking, we will then take you to the starting point of the river rafting. We will wait for you at the end point. Your stay will be at the Nameri.
Day 9
Nameri to Dirang (160km/6hrs)
We will take you to the beautiful Himalayan valley, Dirang. Dirang is situated in the foothills of the Himalayan ranges and is famous for birding across the world. The prime tourists attractions of Dirang valley are the Dirang monastery, Dirang Dzong, famous for its architectures and tribal areas, a Kiwi garden, a Tibetan village and a mill running on hydropower. There is also a hot water spring just outside Dirang. We will show you the spring next day on our way to Tawang. Your stay will be at Dirang.
Day 10
Dirang to Tawang (145km/7hrs)
We will start our journey towards Tawang. On our way we will stop at Vaisakhi. The beautiful places that falls our way to Tawang are the Sela Pass, the Paradise Lake, Jaswantgarh War Memorial, the Nuranang waterfalls. After reaching Tawang, we will show you the local sightseeing places of Tawang. You will stay in Tawang.
Day 11
Tawang Sightseeing (70km/6hrs)
Next day in Tawang, we will show you the notable places in Tawang like the Tawang monastery which is Asia’s second largest monastery, the Craft centre, the Emporium, Apple garden, the Sixth Dalai Lama birthplace, Tawang War Memorial and Nun monastery. Nun monastery can be also visited through a rope way. You will stay at the same place.
Day 12
Around Tawang Sightseeing (150km/7hrs)
There are some other places nearby Tawang to visit. We will you those place on this day. The Heart Lake, Sangester Lake, the Nagula Lake, the PTSO Lake, Y Junction, and Bum La Pass, situated at the India and China border are some prime destinations around Tawang. Please NOTE that to visit Bum La Pass you need to plan a three day stay at Tawang, because the visiting pass for Bum La Pass cannot be obtained within in a day. You will be staying at the same place in Tawang.
Day 13
Tawang to Bomdila (185km/8hrs)
After finishing all the sightseeing in Tawang, we will come back to Bomdila. Bomdila falls on the route to Tawang. Bomdila has a beautiful monastery and it also has a beautiful market. You will stay at Bomdila for the night.
Day 14
Bomdila to Guwahati (350km/8hrs)
We will head towards Guwahati. After reaching Guwahati, we will show you the local sightseeing places of Guwahati city and around the city. The main sightseeing of Guwahati is the mighty river Brahmaputra and the evening cruises on the river, the smallest river island on the Earth Umananda, the Sankardev Kalakshetra, the Kamakhya temple etc. You will stay at Guwahati for the night.
Day 15
Guwahati Sightseeing, Airport Drop (100km/7hrs)
Guwahati Sightseeing, Airport Drop We will complete the entire possible sightseeing Guwahati city within the time that is available. And when time comes, we will drop you off at the airport.
