Tawang Buddhist Tour Package

Day 1: Airport Pickup, Guwahati to Nameri (240km/5hrs)
After receiving you at the airport, we will take you to Nameri National Park. Nameri, located about 240 kilometers away from Guwahati, is a beautiful destination for nature lovers. You will get to walk through the trails of the beautiful national park and enjoy the scenic beauties of wildlife and nature among the Himalayan valleys. After reaching there, you will be staying at a beautiful resort amidst nature at Nameri.

Day 2: Nameri to Dirang (160Km/6hrs)
From Nameri, next day we take you to Dirang. Dirang is a very beautiful valley in foothills of Himalayan ranges. With the backdrop of Himalayan Mountains, the Tibetan villages in this area are quite enjoyable. The beautiful Buddhist architectures of the villages and their cultures are worth witnessing. The Dirang Dzong is one of the prime tourist attractions in this place. The stay will be at Dirang.

Day 3: Dirang to Tawang (145Km/7hrs)
From Dirang, we will be heading towards Tawan on this day. On the route to Tawang, we will show you a hot water spring just after leaving Dirang. Then we will stop by at Vaisakhi to enjoy some dosas. After that we will reach Sela Pass at an elevation of approximately 13,700 feet. The beautiful Sela Lake or Paradise Lake and the Jaswantgarh War Memorial are situated nearby. After that, we will show you the Nuranang waterfalls before reaching Tawang. Finally after reaching Tawang, we will stay there at a hotel.

Day 4: Tawang Sightseeing (70km/6hrs)
We will head out to see the local places and cultural heritages of Tawang. At first, we will show you the Tawang monastery, which is Asia’s second largest monastery. It is a beautiful place to experience the Buddhist culture. Then we will show you the Sixth Dalai Lama’s birthplace, which is also a prime center of Buddhist culture. Apart from that, the Nun monastery is also a very beautiful monastery, which is worth visiting. You will also be able to enjoy rope way ride while visiting Nun monastery. You will be staying at the same place.

Day 5: Around Tawang Sightseeing (150km/7hrs)
On this day, we will take you to show you the majestic natural landscapes in the vicinity of Tawang. The places are scattered around Tawang. We will take you to the international border between India and China at Bum La Pass. We will also show you the mystical lakes of Tawang like the Heart Lake, the PTSO Lake and the Nagula Lake and also the Y-junction. We will return to Tawang to stay there for the night.

Day 6: Tawang to Bomdila (185Km/8hrs)
Next day, we will head back towards Bomdila. Bomdila is a town located at a lower elevation than that of Tawang, in the foothills of Himalayan ranges. It has a beautiful Buddhist monastery, which follows the Mahayana school of Buddhism. After visiting the monastery we will show you the local places like the Bomdila market, where you can interact with the local peoples and buy some beautiful Buddhist souvenirs. The stay will be at Bomdila for the night.

Day 7: Bomdila to Guwahati, Airport Drop (350km/8hrs)
From Bomdila, we will head back towards Guwahati in the morning. After reaching there, if time permits us, we will show you one or two beautiful places in Guwahati like the Kamakhya temple or the Brahmaputra River. Then we will take you to the airport to drop you. Thus your trip of a paradise in the northeast will end.
