Mizoram & Myanmar

Day 1
Pick up from Lengpui Airport. Check in to tourist lodge at Reiek. Take a short hike to the Peak for a wonderful 360 degree panoramic view of the surrounding areas. Or enjoy sunset from Reiek viewing Point.

Day 2
After a leisurely breakfast, start journey and stop at Kawlkulh Tourist Lodge for night halt.

Day 3
After early breakfast, proceed to Chawngtlai Village. Chawngtlai has declared themselves a Historical Village. There are many sites important to Mizo and their history in around the village. Cultural programme can be arranged on payment. After the visit, proceed to Zokhawthar for overnight in Tourist Lodge, Zokhawthar. Zokhawthar is the township on the border with Myanmar. It is last Indian border town. The river Tiau that flows alongside the town is the international border with Myanmar.

Day 4
After breakfast, cross the border to Myanmar and visit Rih Dil (Rih Dil Lake). This natural heart shaped lake is believed to be one of the places that the spirits of the dead people had to pass on their way to Mithi Khua (Land of the Dead). A round of the lake can be made in a motor boat on payment. After the visit back to Zokhawthar/Champhai tourist lodge. Night stay at Zokhwthar/ Champhai tourist lodge.

Day 5
After breakfast start for return to Aizawl. On the way take a diversion to visit Tam Dil Lake. Tam Dil Lake is a small natural lake in a valley surrounded by lush green forest. After the visit, continue journey to Aizawl and check in to Tourist Lodge, Chaltlang. Overnight in Aizawl.

Day 6
After breakfast drive to Thenzawl. On the way visit Hmuifung, Sialsukh Valley, Vantawng Falls and Tuirihiau Falls. Night stay at Thenzawl tourist lodge.

Day 7
After breakfast drive back to Aizawl town. Visit popular destination in Aizawl. Night stay at Tourist Lodge, Chaltlang.

Day 8
After breakfast drop to Lengpui airport.
