Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival at Leh Airport (Arrival before 1000 hrs)

Arrival at Leh airport. Meet our local representative and get transferred to your pre-booked hotel. Let your body take complete rest to acclimatization to the high altitude of Leh (11,500 ft / 3500 mtrs). Later in the evening, visit the famous Shanti Stupa & Leh Palace. Also, visit Leh local market. Overnight at Leh

Day 2 Lower Indus (Sham Valley) excursion (West Leh Local Sightseeing)

After breakfast this morning, board your vehicle to visit few famous sightseeing places of Leh. Visit Sangam point (confluence of Indus & Zanskar Rivers), Magnetic Hill, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Kali Mata (Temple of Guardians in Spituk monastery) & Hall of Fame. Overnight at Leh

Day 3 Leh to Nubra Valley (via Khardung La) (6 hrs approx) Northern Region

After early breakfast, this morning, check out and drive to Nubra Valley (115 km approx). Today, we will drive through Khardung La which is claimed to be the highest motorable road in this world (Altitude of 18,380 ft). The pass offers amazing views of the valley and the roads winding up the mountain. The pristine air, scenic vistas and the feeling of being on top of the world have made Khardung La a popular tourist attraction. Upon arrival at Nubra Valley, Check inn at Nubra Camps/Resorts. Later in the afternoon, you can enjoy the camel safari at Sand Dunes between Deskit & Hundur Village as the main attraction in this area is the Bactarian Camels (Shaggy double hump Camel) around sand dunes (Optional). Overnight at Nubra Valley.

Day 4 Turtuk Excursion – Day Trip

After Leisurely breakfast vist Turtuk (Turtuk was opened to tourists in 2009). The village offers views of Beautiful Valley, part of the Shyok Valley. Though a Muslim village, there are a few gompas located on the plateau above the Shyok River and there is an old royal house to see in the village. Turtuk is one of the few places in India where one can witness Balti culture, and one can find a few homestays and guest houses in the village. It is the last major village where tourist activity is allowed before the Line of Control. Overnight at Nubra Valley

Day 5 Nubra Valley to Tso Pangong (Via Shayok) Towards East Leh

After breakfast this morning, check out from your hotel as we drive you to Pangong lake, 3 idiots movie fame (160 kms). Enroute visit to Diskit monastery and have the wonderful view of Nubra valley. Later drive to Pangong lake via Shayok .Enjoy the turquoise color panoramic lake and the magnificent mountains and landscapes which will leave you awestruck. Spent your afternoon enjoy the beauty of Pangong lake. Overnight at Pangong

Day 6 Tso Pangong – Leh Via Changla

We shall be waking up early today to witness one of the most beautiful sunrise in India on this magnificent Lake. Later enjoy your breakfast and bid goodbye to this mesmerizing place. Check out and board your vehicle to drive back to Leh, check into your hotel. Overnight at Leh

Day 7 Tour of Hemis, Thiksey, Shey monastery, 3 Idiots School Campus

We drive to visit Hemis Monastery situated 45 kilometres – Hemis is the largest and the wealthiest monastery in Ladakh. From Hemis, you are driven back taking the same route to visit Thiksey Monastery, located on a hill-lock with formidable views of the Indus valley. Thiksey is especially noteworthy for its gigantic seated statue of the Maitreya and is also known for its (Dukhang) assembly hall which houses hundreds of rectangular prayer books, stacked between wooden covers and bound in silk. After that we continue to drive through series of chortens to visit Shey Palace the former summer palace of the King of Ladakh.3 Idiots School Campus later in the afternoon, further on to Leh. Over Night at the Hotel in Leh.
